So, pay careful attention."

Remaining festivals participating in the "search for THE REMEDY" include Cornerstone (June 27; Bushnell, IL), Creation Northeast (June 28; Mt. The show also featured Relient K and Jeremy Camp and is now re-airing at HollywoodJesus.com (looking at pop culture from a spiritual point of view).

The popular site has also posted an interview with Switchfoot about its work and the Evan Almighty film starring Steve Carell (The Office) as a modern-day man called on by God to build an ark.

The Evan Almighty performance was an extension of Switchfoot's charitable work. The multi-platinum band recently held its third annual Bro-Am surf tournament to support worthwhile organizations in its hometown of San Diego. In a surprising twist, a last-minute oil spill closed the beach, so the surfing event switched to a friendly community game of dodge ball. Switchfoot bass player Tim Foreman talks about that day's events here.

Up next, Switchfoot will share songs including the #1 hit "Awakening" from its hugely acclaimed new album OH! The 50-city adventure kicks off September 20 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

"I'm so glad the Sanctus guys and Bethany accepted my invite to join me on this tour," Chapman said. "I love their music, songwriting, and their hearts for Jesus. I'm also humbled at the chance to again get out on the road and share the new music that God has given me. My passion in writing, recording and touring is to know God and make Him known, and that's what each night is going to be about. That's our prayer."

Sanctus Real is known for the #1 rock hits "I'm Not Alright" and "Don't Give Up" from its current album THE FACE OF LOVE. The band is also outspoken about African relief efforts and will sneak preview songs from its early 2008 release on the Chapman tour.

Bethany Dillon recently issued her third acoustic pop set, WAKING UP, at the age of 18 to excellent reviews. CCM magazine said the project "could be a career album for the still young Bethany Dillon . . . giving listeners 13 melodic reasons to fall in love with this songstress all over again."

As with the 2007 Winter Jam tour, Chapman's teenage sons, Will Franklin and Caleb, will join their father's live band on drums and guitar respectively.

"I'm not sure words can express how truly excited I am to have the chance to share the stage with my boys. It's a true career highlight and a dream come true for this proud Dad."

Chapman's sons also make a guest appearance on his new album, about which more details are soon forthcoming.

Giving just a little hint, Chapman says, "There's a modern edge to the music, what I hope is a fresh and compelling theme across the songs."

Before launching the fall tour, Steven and his family are returning to Asia this summer to do mission work in orphanages. The Chapmans have adopted three daughters from China and established the Shaohannah's Hope foundation to aid other families who need financial assistance in the adoption process. While overseas, Chapman will also perform two concerts in the Philippines and be part of the Hillsong worship conference in Australia. It's a great song from a favorite artist and the concept works spectacularly without being obvious. It's a treat to be able world premier 'Finally Free' on Gospel Music Channel."

Nordeman penned 'Finally Free' with countless stories in mind of women she's met at Women of Faith conferences across the country. "I've stood on the floor of the arena... looking 360 degrees... at 20,000 women. And, sometimes, I sit there and I look into these stands of women and think, 'what have you brought in the door with you... what kind of heavy chains have you drug in behind you that you are hoping to drop this weekend.' Writing this song was very emotional for me, because I was just sitting at my piano closing my eyes and picturing these heavy, heavy stories of the things in women's lives that imprison them - whether it's addiction or a devastating choice or a crippling depression. So, to be able to write a song about the possibility of finally being free from those chains was very important to me and has become an anthem for me personally, as well," Nordeman explains.

The 'Finally Free' video, filmed in Dallas, quickly became the anthem of Women of Faith and is being played in the closing segment at all Women of Faith Conferences throughout 2007. The video will also be used in a stand-alone retail piece along with additional footage.

Nichole Nordeman recently penned the cover story for CCM's April GMA issue, initiating a compelling dialogue with 13 of Contemporary Christian Music's most influential recording artists on the topic of 'image and authenticity.' She is scheduled at Women Of Faith conferences this summer and throughout the fall. Performing for thousands of fans across the US. Here’s what some of the local daily papers had to say about the tour:
The Advocate: “Delirious? Finds Same Music Connection Around the World” 2theadvocate.com

The Charleston Post and Courier: “Touring is a Family Affair for Delirious?” v2.charleston.net

Courier News: “Worship Revolution” c-n.com

On the Worship Revolution Tour, Delirious? performed songs from its most recent, five-star rated DVD-CD, Now Is The Time: Live At Willow Creek. The recording has been compared in quality to productions by U2 and Coldplay and carries on the band’s tradition of globally relevant music. In fact, Delirious? is considered to be the galvanizing force that changed the face of worship internationally, with “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever,” “Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?,” “Majesty” and more modern anthems that are sung in worship services around the world.

Well-known worldwide, Delirious? was honored last month by the Gospel Music Association with its second International Award presented at the 38th Annual Dove Awards ceremony held before a packed industry audience at the Grand Ole Opry House, April 25. The International Award honors a performer or organization from outside of the US that has made an impact not just in his or her own country, but also on the world at large.

Known for its compelling live performance, 2006 went on record as the boldest year yet for the fivesome as the band traveled to 25 countries, including Asia, South America, Africa, Eastern Europe and Australia. Having played live for 13-years with the same band members intact, Delirious? has closed for the Pope in front of a million people in Germany, played for 1.2 million in India, toured with Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams and more.

In addition to its worldwide impact, sometimes the mission Delirious? shares also means tackling the difficult issues. In “Our God Reigns” featured on the new live recording, the band deals with the subject of social injustice, particularly A.I.D.S., abortion and the constant focus of Western culture on self-improvement and materialism. Traveling the globe to inspire music lovers world wide, Delirious? continues to carry on the tradition of spiritually challenging lyrics, while pointing people to see the wonders of what God has done for them.

Sanctus Real No. 1 At Radio With "Don't Give Up"

2006’s most played artist at CHR radio (R&R), Sanctus Real, continues its string of hits with its fifth No. 1 song, “Don’t Give Up,” and it’s second No. 1 from its critically acclaimed and fan favorite album, The Face of Love. The song landed on top of both the R&R and CRW CHR charts last week and follows the multi-format hits, “The Face of Love” and “I’m Not Alright.”

“‘Don’t Give Up’ really connects with people of all ages and backgrounds that are struggling with relationships, jobs and just the pursuit of everyday life,” says Sanctus Real front man, Matt Hammitt. “The song was inspired by close friends of ours that made difficult decisions to end their marriages. I’m not here to judge those decisions, but as a band we want to be a voice for lasting love and commitment in a world where breaking vows is as common as taking them.”

Sanctus Real will be playing all three of its hits from The Face of Love, as well as fan favorites spanning it’s three national studio releases, as the band continues it’s headline “The Face of Love” tour featuring NEEDTOBREATHE and This Beautiful Republic. The tour launched before a packed audience during Gospel Music Week in Nashville, April 23, and featured special guests Jon Foreman (Switchfoot frontman) and Future of Forestry. The tour continues to travel to venues across the Southeast and Midwest. Due to Sanctus Real's continued involvement in African Leadership’s Mocha Club, the band was recently a part of sending seven tons of relief supplies to Darfur, Sudan. To see the Darfurians’ reaction after they received the supplies, go to https://www.africanleadership.org/darfur/video. Sanctus Real members began working with African Leadership last summer after realizing the incredible need in Africa.

One of the top Christian rock bands today, Sanctus Real’s The Face of Love was inspired by real-life heartache and rediscovered joy. Embraced by fans, the album jumped back on the Billboard Top 200 in December after releasing April 2006 and landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. The album’s first single, “I’m Not Alright,” became 2006’s No. 1 and No. 5 hit song respectively on the CRW and R&R yearend Christian Rock charts after spending six full weeks at No. 1 and becoming the band’s first MTVu video.

EMI Christian Music Group Takes Home 13 Doves

EMI Christian Music Group took home 13 Dove Awards at the Gospel Music Association's annual award show last Wednesday. Even though he will not be performing with us, we all look forward to his friendship lasting a lifetime."

Avalon will continue to record and tour nationally, and McBrayer will sing on the group's upcoming album that is scheduled for release this September via Sparrow Records. At newsstands now, the result is a compelling piece about image and authenticity featuring conversations with several other artists including Amy Grant and Chris Tomlin.

Nichole initiated the dialogue about the challenge to stay genuine as a Christian artist when manufacturing an image is such a big part of today's culture. Other performers she speaks with include Natalie Grant, Mark Hall of Casting Crowns, Bebo Norman, Bethany Dillon, and newcomer Ayiesha Woods.

"I have been blown away by the artists' honesty in these interviews," says Nordeman. "What I'm getting from them is nothing short of liberating."

CCM editor Jay Swartzendruber calls the multi-artist feature "one of the most significant cover stories in our magazine's 29-year history."

In related news, InfuzeMag.com has posted a remarkably in-depth interview with Nichole Nordeman about the first ten years of her award-winning career that have led to the release of RECOLLECTION, featuring classic hits "To Know You," "Every Season," "Holy," and "Brave" as well as two exclusive new tracks.

Infuze recently declared, "If the Christian music industry appointed a poet laureate, top prize would undoubtedly go to Nichole Nordeman . . . a career that has touched or even changed thousands of lives. Quite open now about her lifelong battle with food addiction, Mandisa will also publish a book regarding that issue this summer and is now a spokesmodel for Ashley Stewart Stores.

"I am a living witness that God can do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine," says Mandisa. "Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be a recording artist, an author, and a model! Yet, we joyfully struggle for words and continue on our worshipful quest of expressing the inexpressible; describing the indescribable; pronouncing the unspeakable; painting the invisible."

A graduate of England's prestigious Oxford University, Beeching has hosted "New Song Café" webisodes at WorshipTogether.com for the past two years, and her 2005 freshman disc, YESTERDAY, TODAY & FOREVER, was met with great enthusiasm. CCM magazine editor Jay Swartzendruber wrote, "If you haven't heard her debut, you're missing out. The modern worship gem would be a unique complement to any CD library . . . (her) worshipful art is immediately accessible-think thought-provoking pop."

Now, Suite 101 declares, "Listening to Vicky Beeching's PAINTING THE INVISIBLE is like throwing back thick, heavy drapes and drinking in glorious rays of sun after a cold, dark winter."

Learn more at myspace.com/vickybeeching or catch Vicky's audio blog and other fun content (juggling lessons!) at hearitfirst.com.
