Switchfoot Fans Having Fun @ OhGravity.com
While Switchfoot says the catchy title track from its new hit album OH! GRAVITY is "an appeal for love, peace, and understanding," the band's fans are showcasing some more literal examples of their run-ins with the earth's gravitational pull at OhGravity.com.
There, at an offshoot of Switchfoot's main Web site, people are posting video clips of personal extreme sports wipeouts-everything from skateboarding to snowboarding to surfing-while "Oh! Gravity" rocks along in the background.
That's just one current example of close interaction between Switchfoot and its fans. The multi-platinum band has also engaged the public in the OH! GRAVITY album cover coloring contest. Thousands have sent in their artistic renderings of the new Switchfoot album cover, and you can vote for your favorite one now through March 1 here. The top four illustrations will stay on the band's site for fans to download and enjoy.
Switchfoot has also invited fans to help select the band's set list each night on the current Oh Gravity Tour, now selling out venues throughout North America. Visit Switchfoot.com to request the songs you'd like to hear the guys perform when they come to your town.
