Sanctus Real “Cool” Says Minneapolis Star Tribune

Sanctus RealThe Minneapolis Star-Tribune includes Sanctus Real in the new article "Pick Six: A half-dozen cool things in music." Now touring behind its award-nominated disc, THE FACE OF LOVE, the Ohio-based act hits the "cool" list alongside The Shins, Christina Aguilera, and a new Ricky Skaggs/Bruce Hornsby CD.

"You don't have to be a card-carrying Jesus freak to enjoy the music of this Christian rock band," the piece states. "The lyrics cross the boundaries of specific moral landscapes and speak to the eternal aspect of the spirit in a manner that makes you want to learn the lyrics quickly so you can sing along."

In related news, Sanctus Real has received 2007 GMA Music Award nominations for Rock/Contemporary Song of the Year ("I'm Not Alright") and Rock/Contemporary Album (THE FACE OF LOVE).

Currently on the Winter Jam 2007 Tour Spectacular with Steven Curtis Chapman and Jeremy Camp, the group is already tracking new material for its next studio album during off days and describes a couple of the songs as "good old fashioned, fix the carburetor on your Trans Am and go drag racing rock and roll."

Following the Winter Jam, Sanctus Real will headline a series of spring concerts with EMI label mates needtobreathe and This Beautiful Republic.
