Chris Tomlin, Louis Giglio Plan “How Great Is Our God” Tour
Christian music's 2006 Artist of the Year Chris Tomlin and Passion ministry leader/popular speaker Louie Giglio will launch the 32-city How Great Is Our God Tour on January 25 in Phoenix. Fellow worship artist Matt Redman will be a special guest in select markets.
The new tour is named after Tomlin's 2006 Gospel Music Association Song and Worship Song of the Year award winner, "How Great Is Our God," which is now among the most often performed songs in modern churches today.
Tomlin says, "‘How great is our God' is not just a title of a song, or a name for a tour. Instead the simple phrase ‘sing with me and all will see' is the heartbeat of the tour-every night, a room filled with people seeing and singing of the greatness of God. I am so honored this year to share that night with good friends, Louie Giglio and Matt Redman."
The How Great Is Our God Tour wraps up March 23 in St. Louis. Visit ChrisTomlin.com for a complete list of event cities and dates.
In addition to the 2006 awards, Tomlin also recently received GRAMMY nominations for his SEE THE MORNING album and its chart-topping first single, "Made To Worship." Last month, a TIME magazine feature on Tomlin suggested his songs are now among the most widely performed in the world today.
Giglio is renowned for founding the Passion ministry which in turn launched the sixstepsrecords label featuring Tomlin, Redman, David Crowder Band, and Charlie Hall. He will lead the Passion 07 worship conference on January 1-4 in Atlanta where 20,000 people from around the world are expected to attend.
Redman, like Tomlin, is one of today's best known worship songwriters. His most popular tunes include "The Heart Of Worship" and "Blessed Be Your Name." On December 26, Redman will release an all-new studio album entitled BEAUTIFUL NEWS.
