Steven Curtis Chapman

From the Other Side of the World, live it's a Video Chat with SCC

Modern technology wows me. I admit it, I’m a gadget guy. I have a treo 650 so I can get my email and browse the internet anywhere anytime on my phone, I’ve got an ipod, I love my digital camera, my tivo keeps my shows ready for me after my kids go to bed, I’m always watching for the next technology.

This past week, Steven got a new computer... Because his crashed and died about 18 hours before he had to get on a plane. (see blog from April 6 on why I think that happened) Because of the crash and time crunch, he got a new Macbook Pro and now has isight camera built in to his computer. So, at 8am this morning... I got an invitation to video chat... And there he was. Looking rather tired, hey it was 3am there... But alive, well, and on my computer screen from the other side of the world. Unbelievable.

The shows are going well in New Zealand. A long travel day for the guys because a bird was sucked in to the engine when their plane departing this morning. That delayed them over 6 hours. But no harm except to the foul. (sorry, had too) Photos soon.

I didn't know about David ... I was shocked to read about his granddaughter. Sending prayers for him and his family.

Steven and the gang must be having a blast on the International tour...from what I've read from Scott's blog, it sounds awesome! I only wish I could be there to see all of them at Singapore later, but sadly it's a closed door private event for reasons I do not know of, so I won't be able to ... but I'll be definitely the tour and all of you guys in prayer.

G'day all,

Last night's concert at Crossway Church Melbourne was awsome. I got a great seat right in front of the stage on a wheelchair! Congrats to the band you were GREAT! It was an excellent walk through memory lane. It just brought back the times when SCCs songs meant a great deal in times of hardship and discouragement. SCCs testimony and worship time was just an experience and His Spirit was really present in the auditorium. God bless ya all in the tour, specially in the upper South East Asian countries where people are really searching for the truth! May the songs, lyrics and Steve's testimony really be used by God to touch the crowds.

Oh the joys of being a proud owner of a Mac! My family has always been a Mac family and I clearly remember when I bought my very own Mac. The MacBook Pro is awesome, my sister has one and it’s incredible and iChat is pure brilliance.
