    Depression...?

Recently, one of my close friends, Michael, has been worrying me a lot.  I'm beginning to think he might have a problem with depression.  I looked up symptons/signs for depression online, and he's showing a lot of them.  He used to be a ton of fun to be with, but now everything he says is sarcastic and mean.  He doesn't like hanging out with people any more... and if he has to be in a social setting, he tends to stay as far out of it as possible.  He's been complaining about being tired and having headaches a lot too.  He used to love playing the drums, but now he just acts bored with it.  I'm really concerned about him.  Please pray.

    I am Burt.

Ask him when was the last time he read his Bible, and prepare to listen. Then ask him to read Psalm 37 and 119. I pray that this does not continue.

Joshua, I know he is a very devoted Christian, but still, I will talk with him about it.  I'll see him tonight at a Bible study.

Let us know how it goes. Remember, Elijah was a very devoted prophet of God and he still got so discouraged, he wanted to die.

    Re: Depression...?

    ^Good point.  I hadn't thought of that.

Okay, so I didn't ask him directly about reading his Bible.  But he mentioned that God had shown him something through a specific passage that day (Friday), so I do know he's reading it.  He's definitely doing better.  He seems more like his normal self.  I also got to hang out with him on Saturday.  The worship team I'm on (with him) led worship at a tent revival, which was very renewing and upilfting for all of us.  God is pretty much working in amazing ways there.  Thanks for all your prayers.
