How did you first hear of Nichole Nordeman?

I was just thinking about it, and thought it might be interesting to post a thread on how everyone hear first heard of Nichole Nordeman.

As for me, my mom bought me Wow Hits 2003 in 2003. For some reason I automatically flipped to number ten and instantly knew that 'Holy' was going to be one of my favorite songs in the universe. I now own all of her cds and am grateful for all of the inspiration she has given me.

I think it was one of those WOW Hits albums. I can't remember which one but one of them.

I was at the Family Christian store, looking for some new music.  I had then exhausted my Rebecca St. James collection and was looking for something a little different.  Brave had recently been released, but at first, I wasn't sure I liked the lyrics.  I thought about it, and something just came over me, and I picked up Woven & Spun, and took it to the counter.  Since then, her music has dominated my playlist.  I am simply amazed by her lyrical talent. I own all her albums, but it's still so nice and fresh to hear the same songs over and over, yet somehow, many of them feel like they haven't been aged at all.  I don't believe I will ever get sick of her music.

The first song I heard from her was also "Holy", and I loved it. I was listening to a television station that plays Christian music and nothing else, as part of a Directv package my grandmother has. This was a few years ago (I don't live with my grandmother anymore).

I heard "This Mystery" on the radio in 2000.  I bought the cd based on that song. The rest, as they say, is history... ok, maybe not history... but whatever.

Well, it's behind us now, so that makes it history, at least what has already happened. Big Smile

I went to a concert to see Clay Crosse, Nichole was on the list.  I discovered by "accident."

Re: How did you first hear of Nichole Nordeman?

I discovered her music via a the ending few seconds of "Holy" and later bought all of her CDs starting with "Woven & Spun" and "Brave."  She's definitely one of the best of today's Christian music hitmakers.

I first heard her on the WOW Hits #1s CD, the song "Holy." Or was it "I Will Believe" from the Chronicles of Narnia CD? Well, either way, they are both great songs. Since then I have bought Recollection and Brave, and I LOVE them.

I Will Believe is on the Music Inspired By The Chronicles Of Narnia The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe soundtrack. Now you know.

Re: How did you first hear of Nichole Nordeman?

I heard What if a lot on the radio than I'm pretty sure I saw Nichole in concert and a few years ago I got her cd that has no chains and What if on it. I can't think of the name of the album at the moment.
