if you have a recording of the song, just listen to the rhythms and then try to imitate that.

The strength I have is running out, the current pulls me down

    I'm wondering

Is anybody out there, who's cold and incomplete, inside?
    I can hear Him calling

That would work. Just it seems they haven't posted back on this topic. Since they posted this topic back in December of last year. But maybe they will post back on this topic some time.

    Re: How to strum

One way to learn at first, something that I did with my cousin, is buy a metronome and set the beats between 75-100.  Then practice strumming the guitar one beat at a time.  I know this sounds boring, and it is, but it train you to play on beat and in time, which is absolutely critical.  If you can't play in time you're going to struggle for a long time; train your mind and hears now.  After a while you'll find yourself being able to do other strum patterns without even really thinking about it.  That's my suggestion.
