    Operation Christmas Child

I don't know whether you guys have heard of this amazing project, but I am in love with it.(www.samaritainspurse.org) Our church is a collection center for a specific area in my state, and we collect people's gift-filled shoeboxes from the surrounding community.

Well...our goal is to collect 14,400 shoeboxes. Tommorrow is our last day, and we only have a little over 7,000. So...prayer would be really nice right about now. We want 14,400 more kids to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. =]

    Re: Operation Christmas Child

    Sweet. Thanks, guys. =]

Collection Week is now officially over, and we collected 12,795 shoeboxes! Even though we didn't reach our goal, and still very giddy and excited because it looked like we wouldn't even come close to that. I guess a lot of people are just procrastinators because we got loads and loads of boxes of Monday.

    I'm so happy. ^_^

    You aim high.  ^_^

The Collection Center I work at set its goal around 10,000 I believe.  We reached 11,000.  So you win.

Are you going to the Processing Center this year?

the student life office on campus is participating with the salvation army's adopt an angel program...the angel we got was named catherine and her one special wish was a bike.  i went out and got her a barbie bike with a matching helmet and pad set (she can't ride a bike with a helmet!)...i hope she likes pink and barbie...

Heck yes I went. =] And it was amazing! Even more amazing than last time, because we got to attend a press conference and Franklin Graham himself was there! I cried.
